Vacancy for 2 experts for ARCHIPELAGO project (FR/EN)

ARCHIPELAGO is an initiative of CPCCAF, EUROCHAMBRES and sequa, with financial support from the European Commission in the framework of the Emergency Trust Fund for Africa (EUTF). The programme aims to improve the technical skills of young people and vulnerable groups in society and will also work on strengthening entrepreneurship competences in 12 African countries in the Sahel and the Chad Lake region.

In order to strengthen the ARCHIPELAGO management unit in Brussels, the initiators are still looking for a vocational training expert (TVET) and a financial-administrative assistant. More details can be found here.

Philippe Suinen elected administrator of CPCCAF

Philippe Suinen, President of the Chambres de Commerce de Wallonie, was re-elected as a member of the Bureau of the Conférence Permanente des Chambres Consulaires Africaines et Francophones (CPCCAF).

The CPCCAF is the network of French-speaking Chambers in Europe and Africa that cooperate to develop the African private sector and to strengthen economic and commercial ties between the two continents.

Moreover, the ARCHIPELAGO project was launched in Dakar.

New Chair of World Chambers Federation

During the WCF General Council meeting in Dubai at the end of November, Hamad Buamim was elected as new Chair of the World Chambers Federation. Mr. Buamim is chair and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Read more.

CCI Wallonie: the great Moroccan opportunity

On behalf of the Walloon Chamber of Commerce and its local Chambers, Philippe Suinen signed on 28 November, in the presence of Princess Astrid, a framework cooperation agreement with the largest Moroccan Chamber, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Casablanca – Settat, chaired by Yassir Adil. Through this text, the Chambers plan to strengthen their role as relays and support for companies and to establish SME contacts by and with interested SMEs.
