On Wednesday 3 March 2021 the Belgian Chambers will organise in collaboration with CIFAL Flanders-UNITAR an online webinar with exercises on the UN Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the end of September 2015, 70 years after the founding of the United Nations, the 193 member states decided at the UN General Assembly in New York on a new, ambitious action plan and ethical compass for the world: 17 global 'Sustainable Development Goals' (2016- 2030) for more peace and justice based on human rights, more social progress, more care for the environment, more industrial innovation and decent work, more good governance and more win-win partnerships between governments, companies and civil society organisations.

The webinar will dive into the meaning behind the Agenda 2030, the importance of this transition plan for sustainable business conduct and the business opportunities that could emerge from the SDGs. Through interactive exercises, you will learn how to implement this agenda in your organisation and which benefits or pitfalls you could come across on your journey to a more sustainable future.
