On 13 October 2020, the European Commission launched the interactive and free Access2Markets portal in all official EU languages. This portal is designed to help SMEs trade with countries outside the EU and make the most of EU trade agreements.
It contains information on import conditions for the EU market, export conditions for more than 130 non-EU countries and information on trade within the EU.
The Access2Markets portal provides you, as a company, with information tailored to your products. It includes applicable tariffs, rules of origin, internal taxes, customs and import procedures and other requirements to be met.
It also contains a tool called ROSA (Rules of Origin Self Assessment). This tool can help you understand and apply the rules of origin through self-assessment.
In addition, the portal also contains information on all the reported trade barriers affecting EU exports to non-EU countries. You can also report trade barriers you would encounter on the portal.
