On Thursday 25 September 2025, Belgian Chambers marked a very special milestone: its 150th anniversary. The celebration took place in the auditorium of BNP Paribas Fortis in Brussels, in the presence of H.R.H. Princess Astrid, H.R.H. Prince Lorenz, entrepreneurs, policy makers and international guests.
It was a moment to look back with pride – from the very first chamber in Bruges in 1665 to today’s vibrant network of 13 regional chambers and 40 bilateral chambers abroad – and to look forward with ambition.

The story of Belgian Chambers is one of continuity and renewal. From its founding in 1875 as a federation of independent chambers to its role today within Eurochambres and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Federation has always been about one thing: trust.
